Tangy Tomato Uttapam

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of dosa batter
  • 2 tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cumin seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Heat a non-stick pan or griddle over medium heat.
  2. Pour a ladleful of dosa batter onto the center of the pan and spread it in a circular motion to make a thick pancake.
  3. Sprinkle a portion of the chopped tomatoes, onions, green chilies, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, and salt evenly over the uttapam.
  4. Drizzle a little oil around the edges of the uttapam and cook for 2-3 minutes until the bottom turns golden brown.
  5. Flip the uttapam and cook the other side for another 2-3 minutes until it is cooked through.
  6. Remove from the pan and serve hot with coconut chutney or sambar.
