Taramasalata Temptation
Taramasalata is a traditional Cypriot dip made from fish roe, bread, olive oil, and lemon juice. This creamy and flavorful spread is perfect for serving with pita bread or vegetables.
Ingredients
- 200g tarama (fish roe)
- 2 slices of white bread, crusts removed
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1 small onion, grated
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Soak the bread in water for a few minutes, then squeeze out the excess water.
- In a food processor, combine the tarama, soaked bread, olive oil, lemon juice, grated onion, and minced garlic. Blend until smooth.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Transfer the taramasalata to a serving bowl, cover, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
