Tarator (albanian Yogurt Soup)
Tarator is a traditional Albanian yogurt soup that is perfect for hot summer days. It's a refreshing and light dish that is easy to make and full of flavor.
Ingredients
- 4 cups plain yogurt
- 2 cups cold water
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cucumber, peeled and grated
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp white vinegar
- Salt to taste
- Handful of fresh dill, chopped
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the yogurt and cold water, and mix well.
- Add the minced garlic, grated cucumber, olive oil, and white vinegar to the yogurt mixture, and stir until well combined.
- Season with salt to taste and stir in the chopped dill.
- Chill the tarator in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
