Ingredients

  • 4 packs of ramen noodles
  • 6 cups of chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons mirin
  • 2 tablespoons sake
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-inch piece of ginger, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 4 soft-boiled eggs
  • 4 green onions, sliced
  • Nori seaweed, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a pot, combine the broth, soy sauce, mirin, sake, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and brown sugar. Bring to a simmer and let it cook for 30 minutes.
  2. Cook the ramen noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  3. Divide the tare broth among 4 bowls. Add the cooked noodles to each bowl.
  4. Top each bowl with a soft-boiled egg, sliced green onions, and nori seaweed.
