Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup walnuts, chopped
- 3/4 cup light corn syrup
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 3 eggs
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a food processor, pulse the flour, cold cubed butter, granulated sugar, and salt until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Press the dough into a 9-inch tart pan, covering the bottom and sides. Chill the crust for 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix together the chopped walnuts, corn syrup, brown sugar, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the walnut mixture into the chilled tart crust.
- Bake for 40 minutes or until the filling is set and the crust is golden brown.
- Allow the tart to cool before slicing and serving.
