Ingredients
- 200g dark chocolate, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder, for rolling
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it just begins to simmer.
- Place the chopped chocolate in a heatproof bowl. Pour the hot cream over the chocolate and let it sit for 1 minute to soften the chocolate.
- Add the butter and vanilla extract to the bowl. Gently stir the mixture until smooth and glossy.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 2 hours, or until the mixture is firm enough to scoop and roll into balls.
- Using a small spoon or melon baller, scoop out small portions of the chocolate mixture and roll them into 1-inch balls.
- Roll the truffles in cocoa powder to coat evenly.
- Place the coated truffles on a parchment-lined baking sheet and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
