Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 3 tomatoes, pureed
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  2. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute. Then, add the pureed tomatoes and cook until the oil separates.
  3. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well and cook for a few minutes.
  4. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until they are soft and cooked through.
  5. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot with rice or roti.
