Ingredients
- 2 cups maridi millet flour
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 tomato, finely chopped
- 1 green chili, finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the maridi millet flour, chopped onion, tomato, green chili, salt, and black pepper.
- Add water gradually and mix to form a thick batter.
- Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and brush with vegetable oil.
- Scoop a spoonful of the batter onto the pan and spread it into a round shape to form a cake.
- Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
- Repeat with the remaining batter, adding more oil to the pan as needed.
- Transfer the cooked tawa to a plate and serve warm.
