Tempting Toluk Ash (Толук аш)

Ingredients

  • 1 lb lamb, cut into small pieces
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 3 carrots, diced
  • 3 potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1 cup rice
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 8 cups water

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, bring the water to a boil.
  2. Add the lamb, onion, carrots, and potatoes to the pot.
  3. Simmer for 30 minutes, then add the rice, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Cook for an additional 30 minutes, or until the meat is tender and the rice is cooked.
  5. Adjust seasoning to taste and serve hot.
