Ingredients

  • 6 large apples, peeled and cored
  • 150g unsalted butter
  • 150g granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 sheet of puff pastry

  2. Melt the butter in a 10-inch ovenproof skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the sugar and vanilla extract, stirring until the mixture turns golden brown.
  4. Arrange the apple slices in the skillet, overlapping them slightly.
  5. Cover the apples with the puff pastry, tucking in the edges.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown.
  7. Let the tart cool for 5 minutes, then carefully invert it onto a serving plate.
