Tender Beef Kebabs (Et Kebabı)

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs (700g) beef, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 4 metal or soaked wooden skewers

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the chopped onion, minced garlic, olive oil, paprika, cumin, black pepper, salt, yogurt, and lemon juice to create the marinade.
  2. Add the beef cubes to the marinade, making sure they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Thread the marinated beef cubes onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each piece.
  5. Grill the kebabs for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the beef is cooked to your desired level of doneness.
  6. Remove the kebabs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
