Ingredients

  • 500g thinly sliced beef
  • 300g prawns, deveined
  • 200g fish fillets, sliced
  • 150g fish balls
  • 150g tofu, cubed
  • 150g Chinese cabbage, sliced
  • 100g shiitake mushrooms, sliced
  • 100g glass noodles
  • 4 cups chicken stock
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, sliced
  • 1 stalk spring onion, chopped
  • 1 red chili, sliced

Instructions

  1. Prepare the soup base by bringing the chicken stock, water, soy sauce, oyster sauce, garlic, and ginger to a boil in a large pot.
  2. Arrange the beef, prawns, fish fillets, fish balls, tofu, Chinese cabbage, shiitake mushrooms, and glass noodles on serving plates.
  3. Once the soup base is boiling, place the pot in the center of the dining table and set up a portable stove.
  4. Each diner can then cook their desired ingredients in the simmering soup using a ladle or strainer.
  5. Garnish with spring onions and red chili before serving.
