Ingredients

  • 12 duck wings
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup rock sugar
  • 3 slices ginger
  • 2 star anise
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Shaoxing wine
  • 1 teaspoon five-spice powder
  • 4 cups water

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, combine soy sauce, rock sugar, ginger, star anise, garlic, green onions, Shaoxing wine, five-spice powder, and water. Bring to a boil.
  2. Add the duck wings to the pot and reduce the heat to a simmer. Cover and cook for 45-50 minutes, or until the duck wings are tender.
  3. Uncover the pot and continue to simmer until the sauce thickens and coats the duck wings, about 10-15 minutes.
  4. Transfer the braised duck wings to a serving dish and garnish with chopped green onions. Serve hot and enjoy!
