Ingredients
- 2 fresh crabs, cleaned and cut into pieces
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 thumb-sized ginger, julienned
- 3 stalks scallions, cut into 2-inch lengths
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Shaoxing wine
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon white pepper
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Place the crab pieces in a heatproof dish.
- Spread the minced garlic, ginger, and scallions over the crab.
- In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, sesame oil, sugar, and white pepper. Pour this mixture over the crab.
- Steam the crab over high heat for 15-20 minutes, or until the crab is cooked through.
- In a small pan, heat the vegetable oil until hot, then pour it over the crab to release the aroma of the scallions and ginger.
- Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve hot.
