Teriyaki Deer Jerky
Teriyaki deer jerky is a delicious and savory snack that is perfect for on-the-go or as a protein-packed addition to your meals.
Ingredients
- 1 pound deer meat, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
- Add the thinly sliced deer meat to the marinade, making sure it is fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Preheat the dehydrator to 160°F (70°C).
- Remove the marinated deer meat from the refrigerator and place the slices on the dehydrator trays, leaving space between each piece.
- Dehydrate the meat for 4-6 hours, or until it reaches your desired level of dryness and chewiness.
- Once done, let the jerky cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
