Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (14 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and cook until the onion is translucent.
  3. Stir in the diced tomatoes, kidney beans, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
  4. Simmer the chili for 1-2 hours, stirring occasionally.
  5. Adjust seasoning to taste before serving.
