Texas Roadhouse Green Beans

Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 6 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon from the skillet and set aside, leaving the drippings in the skillet.
  2. Add the chopped onion to the skillet and cook until softened, about 3 minutes.
  3. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
  4. Add the green beans to the skillet and toss to coat in the bacon drippings.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Cover and cook for 10-12 minutes, or until the green beans are tender-crisp.
  6. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
  7. Sprinkle the cooked bacon over the green beans before serving.
