Ingredients
- 4 slices of beef round steak
- 4 slices of bacon
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 4 dill pickles, sliced lengthwise
- 4 tablespoons mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 cups beef broth
Instructions
- Pound the beef slices to tenderize them.
- Season each beef slice with salt, pepper, and mustard.
- Place a slice of bacon, some chopped onion, and a dill pickle on each beef slice.
- Roll up the beef slices and secure them with toothpicks.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot and brown the rouladen on all sides.
- Add the beef broth, cover, and simmer for 1.5-2 hours until the beef is tender.
