Ingredients
- 1 lb pork tenderloin, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 cup cornstarch
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup pineapple chunks
- 1 red bell pepper, cut into chunks
- 1 green bell pepper, cut into chunks
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- 1/4 cup water
- 8 bao buns, steamed
Instructions
- In a bowl, coat the pork pieces with cornstarch, then dip them in the beaten eggs.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry the pork until golden brown and crispy. Set aside.
- In a separate pan, combine sugar, vinegar, ketchup, soy sauce, garlic powder, ginger, and water. Cook until the sauce thickens.
- Add the fried pork, pineapple chunks, and bell peppers to the sauce. Stir to coat evenly.
- Fill each steamed bao bun with the sweet and sour pork mixture.
