Ingredients
- 1 lb ground yak meat
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 ripe mango, diced
- 1/2 red onion, finely chopped
- 1 jalapeno, seeded and finely chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- Juice of 1 lime
- 8 small flour tortillas
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix together the ground yak meat, chopped onion, minced garlic, cumin, coriander, turmeric, salt, and pepper. Form the mixture into small meatballs.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the meatballs until browned and cooked through, about 15 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, combine the diced mango, red onion, jalapeno, cilantro, and lime juice to make the salsa.
- Warm the tortillas in a dry skillet or in the oven.
- Assemble the tacos by placing a few meatballs in each tortilla and topping with the mango salsa.
