Ingredients
- 1.5 kg lamb shoulder, cut into chunks
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tomatoes, diced
- 1 cup red wine
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Season the lamb chunks with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the lamb chunks and brown on all sides. Remove the lamb from the pot and set aside.
- In the same pot, sauté the onions and garlic until softened.
- Add the diced tomatoes, red wine, beef broth, and dried oregano to the pot. Bring to a simmer.
- Return the lamb to the pot and cover. Let it simmer for 2 hours, or until the lamb is tender.
- Adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper if needed.
- Serve the Tikvesh Vineyard Lamb hot, accompanied by your favorite side dish.
