Timballo Di Scrippelle: Crepe Lasagna
Timballo di Scrippelle is a traditional dish from the Abruzzo and Molise regions of Italy. It is a delicious and hearty crepe lasagna that is perfect for a special occasion or a comforting family meal.
Ingredients
- 12 crepes (scrippelle)
- 2 cups Bolognese sauce
- 1 cup grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Spread a thin layer of Bolognese sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
- Place a crepe in the dish and spread a layer of Bolognese sauce over it.
- Sprinkle with Parmigiano-Reggiano and mozzarella cheese.
- Repeat the layers, finishing with a crepe on top.
- Spread the ricotta cheese on top of the final crepe and sprinkle with the remaining Parmigiano-Reggiano.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
- Sprinkle with chopped parsley and let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.
