Ingredients
- 2 cups basmati rice
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 4 cups vegetable broth
- 1 teaspoon ground turmeric

- Pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and sauté until it becomes translucent.
- Stir in the basmati rice and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Add the vegetable broth, turmeric, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and let the rice simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until all the liquid is absorbed and the rice is tender.
