Tinaktak Nachos
Tinaktak Nachos is a delicious fusion dish that combines the flavors of the Mariana Islands with the popular Tex-Mex snack. This recipe puts a unique spin on traditional nachos by incorporating the flavors of coconut milk, ground meat, and local vegetables.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 can (14 oz) coconut milk
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- 1 bag of tortilla chips
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat.
- Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook until the onion is translucent.
- Pour in the coconut milk and add the diced bell pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Spread the tortilla chips on a baking sheet and sprinkle the cooked meat mixture over the chips.
- Top with shredded cheese and bake for 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
