Tinala Katne Burritos
Tinala Katne Burritos are a delicious fusion of Mexican and Mariana Islands cuisine, combining the flavors of tinala katne (dried, smoked meat) with the convenience of a burrito.
Ingredients
- 1 lb tinala katne, thinly sliced
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 1 cup cooked red rice
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup diced onions
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup salsa
- 1 lime, cut into wedges
Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the tinala katne. Cook for 5-7 minutes until heated through.
- Warm the tortillas in a separate skillet or in the microwave.
- Assemble the burritos by layering the tinala katne, red rice, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, onions, and cilantro on each tortilla.
- Top with a dollop of sour cream and salsa, and squeeze a lime wedge over the filling.
- Roll up the burritos, tucking in the sides as you go.
- Serve the burritos with extra salsa and lime wedges on the side.
