Tiramisu Without Mascarpone

Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 24 ladyfinger cookies
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, beat the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
  2. In another bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until well combined.
  4. Dip each ladyfinger into the brewed coffee and arrange a layer of dipped cookies in the bottom of a 9x9 inch dish.
  5. Spread half of the cream mixture over the ladyfingers. Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers and the remaining cream mixture.
  6. Sprinkle the top with unsweetened cocoa powder.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
