Tirokafteri
Tirokafteri is a spicy Greek cheese dip made with feta and hot peppers. It's a delicious and flavorful appetizer that pairs perfectly with pita bread or vegetables.
Ingredients
- 8 oz feta cheese
- 2-3 hot peppers, such as jalapeños or serranos
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 clove garlic
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Remove the stems and seeds from the hot peppers, then chop them finely.
- In a food processor, combine the feta cheese, chopped hot peppers, olive oil, lemon juice, and garlic. Blend until smooth.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Transfer the tirokafteri to a serving bowl and drizzle with a little extra olive oil before serving.
