Tocino Twist

Ingredients

  • 1 lb pork belly, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons pineapple juice
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 cup banana ketchup

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine brown sugar, soy sauce, pineapple juice, minced garlic, ground black pepper, and banana ketchup. Mix well to create the marinade.
  2. Add the thinly sliced pork belly to the marinade, making sure each piece is well-coated. Marinate for at least 4 hours or overnight in the refrigerator.
  3. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat. Once hot, add the marinated pork belly slices and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side or until caramelized and fully cooked.
  4. Once cooked, transfer the Tocino Twist to a serving plate and serve with garlic fried rice and fresh tomatoes on the side.
