Ingredients

  • 1 package of tofu skin
  • 2 cups vegetable broth
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon minced ginger
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 green onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Soak the tofu skin in warm water for 10 minutes to soften.
  2. In a pot, bring the vegetable broth to a simmer and add the soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, and green onion.
  3. Cut the tofu skin into desired shapes and add to the simmering broth.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of water to create a slurry. Slowly pour the slurry into the pot while stirring gently to thicken the broth.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve the tofu skin hot as an appetizer or side dish.
