豆腐皮卷 (Tofu Skin Rolls) is a traditional dish from Hubei Cuisine, known for its delicate flavors and healthy ingredients.
Ingredients
- 8 pieces of dried tofu skin
- 100g of shredded carrots
- 100g of shredded cucumber
- 50g of vermicelli noodles
- 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of white pepper
- 1 tablespoon of cooking oil
Instructions
- Soak the dried tofu skin in warm water until soft, then cut into 8 equal-sized pieces.
- Boil the vermicelli noodles until soft, then drain and set aside.
- In a bowl, mix the shredded carrots, shredded cucumber, and cooked vermicelli noodles.
- In a separate bowl, combine the soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, salt, and white pepper to make the seasoning sauce.
- Place a portion of the vegetable mixture onto each piece of tofu skin, then roll it up and secure with toothpicks.
- Heat the cooking oil in a pan over medium heat, then fry the tofu skin rolls until golden brown on all sides.
- Remove the toothpicks and serve the tofu skin rolls with the seasoning sauce on the side.
