Tofu Skin Rolls (豆腐皮卷)

Ingredients

  • 8 pieces of dried tofu skin
  • 100g of shredded carrots
  • 100g of shredded cucumber
  • 50g of vermicelli noodles
  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of white pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of cooking oil

Instructions

  1. Soak the dried tofu skin in warm water until soft, then cut into 8 equal-sized pieces.
  2. Boil the vermicelli noodles until soft, then drain and set aside.
  3. In a bowl, mix the shredded carrots, shredded cucumber, and cooked vermicelli noodles.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, salt, and white pepper to make the seasoning sauce.
  5. Place a portion of the vegetable mixture onto each piece of tofu skin, then roll it up and secure with toothpicks.
  6. Heat the cooking oil in a pan over medium heat, then fry the tofu skin rolls until golden brown on all sides.
  7. Remove the toothpicks and serve the tofu skin rolls with the seasoning sauce on the side.
