Ingredients
- 4 tilapia fillets
- 1 tablespoon ground cumin
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 8 small corn tortillas
- 1 cup shredded cabbage
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- Lime wedges for serving
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix the cumin, paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper to create the spice blend.
- Rub the spice blend onto both sides of the tilapia fillets.
- In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the tilapia fillets and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the fish is cooked through and easily flakes with a fork.
- Warm the corn tortillas in a separate skillet or in the oven.
- Assemble the tacos by placing a portion of the cooked fish onto each tortilla. Top with shredded cabbage, sliced avocado, and chopped cilantro. Serve with lime wedges on the side.
