Ingredients

  • 1 cup dosa batter
  • 1 large tomato, finely chopped
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 2-3 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh coriander leaves, chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil or ghee for cooking

Instructions

  1. Heat a non-stick pan or cast iron griddle on medium heat.
  2. Pour a ladleful of dosa batter onto the center of the pan and spread it in a circular motion to form a thick pancake.
  3. Sprinkle the chopped tomatoes, onions, green chilies, and coriander leaves evenly over the batter.
  4. Drizzle some oil or ghee around the edges of the uthappam and cook for 2-3 minutes until the bottom turns golden brown.
  5. Flip the uthappam and cook the other side for 2-3 minutes until it is cooked through and crispy.
  6. Remove from the pan and serve hot with coconut chutney or sambar.
