Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs (700g) boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 large onion, grated
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Skewers for grilling
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the grated onion, minced garlic, plain yogurt, olive oil, ground cumin, paprika, ground turmeric, salt, and pepper.
- Add the chicken pieces to the marinade and coat them evenly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
- Preheat the stovetop grill or a grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto skewers.
- Grill the chicken kebabs for about 12-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are cooked through and have a nice charred exterior.
- Remove the kebabs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
