Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped cabbage
  • 1/4 cup diced tofu
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
  • 2 tablespoons loose-leaf tea

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the flour and water to form a dough. Knead the dough for 5 minutes, then cover and let it rest for 20 minutes.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine the cabbage, tofu, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, sugar, salt, and white pepper to make the filling.
  3. Divide the dough into small pieces and roll each piece into a thin circle.
  4. Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each dough circle, then fold and pleat the edges to seal the dumplings.
  5. Place the loose-leaf tea in the bottom of a steamer, then arrange the dumplings on top.
  6. Steam the dumplings for 15 minutes, then serve hot.
