Ingredients
- 1 whole chicken, cut into pieces
- 2 onions, chopped
- 3 carrots, sliced
- 3 celery stalks, chopped
- 1 parsnip, sliced
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 teaspoon peppercorns
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 200g flour
- 2 eggs
- Water
Instructions
- In a large pot, combine the chicken pieces, onions, carrots, celery, parsnip, bay leaf, peppercorns, and salt. Add enough water to cover the ingredients.
- Bring the pot to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for 45 minutes to 1 hour, until the chicken is cooked through and the flavors have melded.
- While the soup is simmering, prepare the dumplings. In a bowl, mix the flour and eggs, then gradually add water until a smooth dough forms.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut it into small squares.
- Add the dumplings to the soup and cook for an additional 10 minutes, until they are tender.
- Remove the bay leaf and serve the Csirkeleves Tésztával hot.
