Ingredients
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 stalks lemongrass, white part only, finely chopped
- 1 red chili, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat.
- Add the garlic, lemongrass, and red chili. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp, fish sauce, soy sauce, and sugar. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the shrimp turn pink.
- Pour in the chicken broth and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Stir in the fresh basil leaves and season with salt and pepper.
