Ingredients
- 1.5 kg beef, cubed
- 3 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 onions, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 red bell peppers, diced
- 2 tbsp sweet paprika
- 1 tsp caraway seeds
- 1 can (400g) diced tomatoes
- 500ml beef broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the beef cubes and brown them on all sides. Remove the beef from the pot and set aside.
- In the same pot, add the chopped onions and sauté until translucent. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
- Add the diced red bell peppers, sweet paprika, and caraway seeds to the pot. Stir well to combine.
- Pour in the diced tomatoes and beef broth. Return the browned beef to the pot. Season with salt and pepper.
- Bring the goulash to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Cover and simmer for 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the beef is tender and the sauce has thickened.
- Adjust the seasoning if needed. Serve the Triglavski Gozdni Golaž hot, accompanied by crusty bread or mashed potatoes.
