Tteokbokki Pizza (떡볶이)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of tteokbokki rice cakes
  • 1/2 cup of gochujang (Korean red chili paste)
  • 1/4 cup of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup of water
  • 1 cup of mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup of chopped scallions
  • 1 pre-made pizza dough

Instructions

  1. Prepare the tteokbokki sauce by combining gochujang, sugar, soy sauce, and water in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat until the sauce thickens.
  2. Add the tteokbokki rice cakes to the sauce and simmer for 5-7 minutes until the rice cakes are tender.
  3. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  4. Roll out the pizza dough on a baking sheet and spread the tteokbokki sauce and rice cakes evenly over the dough.
  5. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top and add chopped scallions.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Slice the Tteokbokki Pizza and serve hot.
