Ingredients
- 500g pork ribs, cut into individual pieces
- 3 medium potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon Shaoxing wine
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground white pepper
- 2 cups water
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Instructions
- Heat vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Add pork ribs to the pot and cook until browned on all sides.
- Pour in soy sauce, oyster sauce, Shaoxing wine, sugar, salt, and white pepper. Stir to coat the pork ribs.
- Add water to the pot and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 40 minutes.
- Add the potato chunks to the pot, cover, and continue simmering for an additional 20 minutes or until the potatoes are tender.
- Once the pork ribs and potatoes are tender, uncover the pot and allow the sauce to thicken slightly.
- Adjust seasoning if necessary, then serve the Tudou Pai Gu hot with steamed rice.
