Turkish Baklava Cheesecake Bars

Ingredients
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 cup chopped pistachios
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 package (16 ounces) phyllo dough, thawed
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- In a medium bowl, combine the walnuts, pistachios, 1/2 cup sugar, and cinnamon. Set aside.
- Place one sheet of phyllo dough in the prepared baking dish and brush with melted butter. Repeat with 7 more sheets of phyllo, brushing each with butter.
- Sprinkle 1/3 of the nut mixture over the phyllo layers. Top with 2 more sheets of phyllo, brushing each with butter.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, 1/2 cup sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the sour cream.
- Pour the cream cheese mixture over the phyllo layers. Spread evenly.
- Layer the remaining phyllo sheets on top, brushing each with butter. Sprinkle the remaining nut mixture over the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and drizzle the honey over the hot baklava cheesecake bars.
- Cool completely in the pan on a wire rack, then cut into bars. Serve and enjoy!
