Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs (700g) lamb or beef, cut into cubes
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp plain yogurt
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 4 metal or wooden skewers
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the chopped onion, minced garlic, olive oil, yogurt, paprika, cumin, black pepper, salt, and lemon juice to create the marinade.
- Add the meat cubes to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
- If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning.
- Thread the marinated meat onto the skewers, distributing evenly.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and cook the kebabs for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the meat is cooked to your desired level of doneness.
