Tuscan Stuffed Mushrooms
Tuscan Stuffed Mushrooms are a delicious appetizer that captures the flavors of Tuscany with a savory and satisfying filling.
Ingredients
- 12 large mushrooms, stems removed and reserved
- 1/2 cup Italian sausage, crumbled
- 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Chop the mushroom stems and sauté them with the Italian sausage, onion, and sun-dried tomatoes until the sausage is cooked through.
- In a bowl, mix the cooked sausage mixture with breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, and olive oil. Season with salt and pepper.
- Stuff each mushroom cap with the filling mixture and place them on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and the filling is golden brown.
