Ingredients
- 1 package of phyllo pastry
- 1 1/2 cups feta cheese
- 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together the feta cheese, ricotta cheese, eggs, and black pepper.
- Brush a 9x13 inch baking dish with olive oil.
- Layer 6 sheets of phyllo pastry in the bottom of the baking dish, brushing each sheet with olive oil.
- Sprinkle half of the chopped walnuts over the phyllo pastry.
- Spread the cheese mixture over the walnuts.
- Layer the remaining 6 sheets of phyllo pastry on top, again brushing each sheet with olive oil.
- Score the top of the pie into squares or triangles with a sharp knife.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes, or until the pie is golden brown.
- Drizzle the honey over the hot pie and sprinkle the remaining walnuts on top.
- Allow the pie to cool for 10 minutes before serving.
