Ingredients

  • 1 package of phyllo pastry
  • 1 1/2 cups feta cheese
  • 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the feta cheese, ricotta cheese, eggs, and black pepper.
  3. Brush a 9x13 inch baking dish with olive oil.
  4. Layer 6 sheets of phyllo pastry in the bottom of the baking dish, brushing each sheet with olive oil.
  5. Sprinkle half of the chopped walnuts over the phyllo pastry.
  6. Spread the cheese mixture over the walnuts.
  7. Layer the remaining 6 sheets of phyllo pastry on top, again brushing each sheet with olive oil.
  8. Score the top of the pie into squares or triangles with a sharp knife.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes, or until the pie is golden brown.
  10. Drizzle the honey over the hot pie and sprinkle the remaining walnuts on top.
  11. Allow the pie to cool for 10 minutes before serving.
