Ingredients

  • 500g prawns, cleaned and deveined
  • 5 shallots, finely chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 red chilies, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together the shallots, garlic, red chilies, turmeric powder, coriander powder, salt, and lime juice to create the marinade.
  2. Add the prawns to the marinade and toss to coat them evenly. Let them marinate for 15 minutes.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Skewer the marinated prawns and brush them with vegetable oil.
  5. Grill the prawns for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and have grill marks.
  6. Remove the prawns from the grill and serve hot.
