Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the tamarind paste, sweet soy sauce, brown sugar, salt, and ground white pepper. Set aside.
  2. Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the garlic, onion, and red chilies. Sauté until fragrant.
  3. Add the shrimp to the pan and cook until they turn pink.
  4. Pour in the tamarind mixture and stir to coat the shrimp.
