Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup snow peas, trimmed
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix oyster sauce, soy sauce, cornstarch, sugar, and chicken broth. Set aside.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat. Add garlic and stir-fry for 30 seconds.
  3. Add shrimp to the wok and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque.
  4. Add snow peas to the wok and stir-fry for another 2 minutes.
  5. Pour the oyster sauce mixture over the shrimp and snow peas. Stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Transfer to a serving dish and serve hot with steamed rice.
