Udang Saus Tiram (stir-fried Shrimp With Snow Peas)
Udang Saus Tiram is a popular Indonesian Chinese dish that features succulent shrimp stir-fried with crisp snow peas in a savory oyster sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup snow peas, trimmed
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix oyster sauce, soy sauce, cornstarch, sugar, and chicken broth. Set aside.
- Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat. Add garlic and stir-fry for 30 seconds.
- Add shrimp to the wok and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque.
- Add snow peas to the wok and stir-fry for another 2 minutes.
- Pour the oyster sauce mixture over the shrimp and snow peas. Stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Transfer to a serving dish and serve hot with steamed rice.
