Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup cold water
- 1 cup mixed berries (such as raspberries, blueberries, and strawberries)
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a food processor, combine the flour, cold cubed butter, granulated sugar, and salt. Pulse until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Gradually add the cold water and pulse until the dough comes together.
- Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, toss the mixed berries with granulated sugar and cornstarch.
- Roll out the chilled dough on a floured surface and transfer it to a tart pan. Trim any excess dough.
- Spoon the berry mixture into the tart shell and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the berries are bubbling.
