Ingredients
- 6 large potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 300g mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cups grated cheese
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes in a greased baking dish.
- Top with half of the sliced onion and half of the sliced mushrooms.
- Sprinkle half of the grated cheese over the mushrooms.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, onion, mushrooms, and cheese.
- In a bowl, mix the heavy cream, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Pour this mixture over the layered ingredients in the baking dish.
- Dot the top with butter.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until the top is golden and bubbly.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
