Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh fish fillets
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 2 cups fish or vegetable broth
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, sauté the onion, garlic, and bell pepper until softened.
  2. Add the tomatoes, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for 5 minutes.
  3. Pour in the coconut milk and broth, then bring to a simmer.
  4. Add the fish fillets and simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Add the shrimp and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until they turn pink and opaque.
  6. Adjust seasoning if needed and serve hot, garnished with fresh cilantro.
