Undrallu is a traditional South Indian dish made with rice flour and is typically prepared during the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups rice flour
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a deep pan, bring water to a boil.
  2. Add salt to the boiling water.
  3. Sprinkle the rice flour into the boiling water while stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
  4. Cover and cook for 5-7 minutes until the mixture thickens and forms a dough-like consistency.
  5. Remove from heat and allow the mixture to cool.
  6. Once cooled, take small portions of the mixture and shape them into small round balls.
  7. Steam the shaped undrallu in a steamer for 10-12 minutes.
  8. Remove from the steamer and serve hot.
