Undrallu
Undrallu is a traditional South Indian dish made with rice flour and is typically prepared during the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi.
Ingredients
- 2 cups rice flour
- 2 1/2 cups water
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- In a deep pan, bring water to a boil.
- Add salt to the boiling water.
- Sprinkle the rice flour into the boiling water while stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
- Cover and cook for 5-7 minutes until the mixture thickens and forms a dough-like consistency.
- Remove from heat and allow the mixture to cool.
- Once cooled, take small portions of the mixture and shape them into small round balls.
- Steam the shaped undrallu in a steamer for 10-12 minutes.
- Remove from the steamer and serve hot.
